AI transcribes while you talk.
It is writing it down while you do. Say the whole thing in one go — the fever last night, what the doctor actually said, the form that needs signing on Thursday. One recording comes back as several notes, each filed by topic and by who it was about.

MoNote keeps exactly what you said. It sorts; it does not paraphrase over the top of you. The recording stays, so any note can be heard back in your own voice.
No accounts
The journal lives on your phone. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to log in to.

Every take is written to the phone before anything leaves it, so nothing is lost because the network was not there.
Yours to take and to delete
Take a copy out as plain text whenever you like. Delete everything from Settings — immediately, and without giving a reason.
The privacy policy describes what the code actually does, claim by claim. The terms are the short kind.

Prices are set per country by each store, so the App Store and Google Play are the only places that can tell you yours. Pro is a subscription and is cancelled from your phone's own settings.

What does MoNote actually do with a voice recording?
It transcribes what you said, splits the transcription into separate notes where the subject changes, files each one by topic and by who it was about, and keeps the audio. Your words stay underneath: any note can be opened back up to the whole thing you said.
What if I forget things the moment I stop thinking about them?
Then say them instead of filing them. That is the whole design: one button, talk until it is out, and the sorting happens afterwards without you. A brain dump at eleven at night comes back the next morning as separate notes under separate topics, and it is still there in March when you need it.
Does the AI rewrite what I said?
No. Your words are never rewritten. If you edit a note, what you type replaces the summary — the transcription and the recording are both kept either way, and nothing you correct is sent anywhere to train anything.
Who else sees my recordings?
Two companies, under contract, and only to do their one job: Deepgram turns the recording into text, and Anthropic turns the text into notes. Every request to Deepgram carries the opt-out from their model-improvement programme, so the audio is held only for as long as it takes to transcribe it. Anthropic does not train on it and deletes what it received within 30 days. Neither may use your words for anything else; the full list is in the privacy policy.
Is there a faster way to start recording?
Long-press the app icon and choose Record — it opens straight into a take. If your iPhone has an Action Button, or you use the Shortcuts app, point a shortcut at monote://recording and recording starts the moment the app opens.
Does it work offline, without a signal?
Recording does, always. Every take is written to the phone first and sent afterwards, so you can record at three in the morning in a dark room on one bar and lose nothing. Searching what you already have works offline too. Transcribing needs a connection and happens as soon as there is one.
Is MoNote free?
There is a free plan and it does not expire: a couple of short recordings a day, everything sorted, searchable and kept, and a plain-text copy out whenever you want one. Pro removes the daily limit, allows five minutes in a single take and turns the ads off. Each store sets its own price per country, so the App Store and Google Play are the only places that can tell you yours.
Do I need an account?
No. There are no accounts. The journal lives on the phone — which is also why it is worth taking a copy out from time to time, from Settings, as plain text.
Which languages does it work in?
The app is in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, Russian and Serbian. The first screen asks which language to listen in, and you can change it later in Settings.
Can I delete everything?
Yes, from inside the app: Settings, then delete everything, then once more to confirm. That removes your notes, your recordings and the record of your device from the servers. It is immediate, it cannot be undone, and you do not need a reason.
Is this a medical app?
No. MoNote records what was said. It does not diagnose, interpret or give advice. What it is good at is having the dates and the words ready when a professional asks.
When can I download it?
It is not on either store yet. When the listings are live the download links will appear on this page — there is nothing to sign up to in the meantime.
